Kirkintilloch Store/Shop Manager

Are you a naturally friendly individual with a talent for connecting with people?

Do you have an impressive knack for understanding the ins and outs of a retail environment? And does the idea of leading a team and orchestrating seamless operations fill you with enthusiasm?

If this sounds like you, DEBRA has a fantastic Store/Shop Manager opportunity waiting for you in Kirkintilloch!

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 35 hours a week across 5 days (out of 7). For your dedication, you'll be rewarded with a salary totalling £24,733.80 per year.

This role offers immense value by allowing you to directly contribute to DEBRA's vital mission while developing your leadership and retail skills within a supportive and passionate environment.

What's DEBRA All About?

We're not just any charity; we're a passionate bunch striving for a world where no one has to suffer from EB. Our mission is a world where no one suffers with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). We provide lifelong care and tirelessly search for cures for everyone affected by this challenging condition.

Our core values – respect, passion, care, and inclusivity – are not just words on a page; they're the heart of everything we do and make DEBRA a truly great place to work. We're committed to making a difference, and these values are the foundation of our culture.

Could You Be Our Next Retail Shop Champion?

We're looking for someone who is truly driven, positively bursting with enthusiasm, and exceptionally skilled at delivering first-class customer service. You'll need to be well-organised with retail administration and have strong management abilities, customer service acumen, and creative flair (for example, designing shop window displays). The ability to remain calm under pressure to achieve targets and ensure our Kirkintilloch shop operates smoothly and efficiently is key.

This role encompasses a diverse range of duties to keep the shop running like clockwork. This includes the physical lifting, pushing, and manual handling of stock and donations, as well as the confident use of both our internal systems and external platforms. You'll need to be comfortable and confident working with computers, as well as with team members and independently.

Why work for us here at DEBRA!

We offer a competitive salary, along with rewards & benefits which include:

  • Auto enrolment Pension with DEBRA contribution
  • Life Assurance Scheme
  • Employee Assistance Program which offers 24/7 access for staff and their families
  • Generous Training Budget (DEBRA has a learning culture and supports and encourages Employee Voice)
  • Career Progression for your continued personal development journey
  • Annual Leave 20 days plus Bank Holidays (pro rata for part-time employees)
  • Increased Holiday Entitlement and Long Service Awards
  • Exclusive Staff Discount
  • Personalised Recognition Awards
  • Opportunities for Apprenticeships and Internships

Please note: DEBRA takes its safeguarding responsibilities seriously, and we would like you to be aware that all positions within our organisation require a DBS check and two satisfactory work references.
