Job summary

Core Group is recruiting an experienced Stores Operative in Cardiff to join our client’s warehousing team. The role focuses on receiving, checking and storing goods while operating a Counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently.

Hours are Monday to Friday 07:30–17:15, full-time with stable hours. A valid FLT Counterbalance licence is essential, and the successful candidate will move stock, load and unload deliveries, and maintain accurate records. Pay is £14.50–£16.50 per hour DOE.

Qualifications

• Valid FLT Counterbalance licence (C/B) is essential.
• Experience in stores, warehouse or logistics.
• Ability to perform manual handling when required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and store goods.
• Operate Counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload deliveries.
• Move stock around warehouse.
• Pick and prepare materials for dispatch.
• Maintain accurate stock records.
• Keep stores and warehouse clean and organised.
• Follow health and safety procedures.
• Support the wider warehouse team as needed.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experiencedStores Operative ideally with a valid CPCS Counterbalance FLT in Cardiff.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday:07.30 - 17.15

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking and storing goods
• Operating a Counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Moving stock and materials around the warehouse/stores
• Picking and preparing materials for dispatch
• Maintaining accurate stock levels and records
• Keeping the stores and warehouse areas clean and organised
• Following all health and safety procedures
• Supporting the wider warehouse/stores team as required

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• A valid FLT Counterbalance (C/B) licence - essential
• Previous stores, warehouse or logistics experience
• The ability to carry out manual handling duties where required
