Job description

FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Store Person.
Location: Rhyl, Wales LL18
Store Person responsibilities:
• Receive, inspect, and record deliveries of materials and equipment
• Maintain accurate stock levels using inventory systems (manual or digital)
• Issue tools, parts, and materials to site teams as required
• Conduct regular stocktakes and audits
• Keep the store area clean, safe, and well organised
• Monitor and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies in stock
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Assist in the disposal or return of surplus and defective items
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and operational teams
• Support logistics and delivery coordination to project sites
• Operate forklifts or lifting equipment (if trained/certified)
Store Person requirements:
• Previous experience in a similar store, warehouse, or logistics role
• Knowledge of utilities or construction materials is advantageous
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable using inventory management systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer literacy (email, spreadsheets, stock systems)
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling
• Valid UK driving licence preferred
Desirable:
• Forklift Truck licence (e.g., Counterbalance or Reach)
• Manual Handling and Health & Safety training
• CSCS Card or EUSR Card
• Knowledge of water industry tools and materials
