Job summary

Safestore Holdings PLC in St Albans is seeking a Store Manager to lead a busy location, drive sales and deliver outstanding customer service. You will manage the store team, ensure exceptional customer experiences and hit performance targets while maintaining operational standards.

The role offers a structured development path with a clear progression plan, bonus linked to performance, and a range of benefits. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with shifts across 5 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a management role, ideally in retail or customer-facing environment.
• Ability to lead a team and coach for performance.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with stakeholders.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive store performance.

Responsibilities

• Achieve targets by understanding customer needs and advising on solutions (from enquiry through to move in).
• Lead and motivate store team through coaching and constructive feedback.
• Identify opportunities to maximise customer experience with exceptional service.
• Maintain store standards including Health and Safety to create a great impression for customers.
