Job summary

Boots Bath is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead one of our larger Boots stores where retail and healthcare converge. You’ll lead a multi-skilled team on the shop floor, delivering exceptional service and strong sales performance.

Reporting to the Area Manager, you’ll build relationships with local healthcare partners and the community, drive patient-focused care, and model how great care and strong leadership go hand in hand.

Qualifications

Are you an experienced retail manager who leads with care, takes pride in supporting customers and patients, and knows how to bring out the best in a large team?
As Store Manager, you’ll lead one of our larger Boots stores, where retail and healthcare come together at scale. These are destination stores that showcase the very best of our brand and are often at the forefront of new ideas, services and innovations.
Guided by our purpose, “With you. For life.”, you and your team will play an important role in supporting customers and colleagues through the moments that matter. Your store will be a go-to for customers with a range of needs—whether they're discovering the latest beauty products, picking up everyday essentials or accessing an ever-growing range of NHS and private healthcare services, all under one roof.
In this role, you’ll lead a large, multi-skilled team in a fast-moving, people-focused environment. Every day is different. You might be guiding your team through a high-volume day, helping a customer find the right product, working with senior stakeholders or building strong relationships with local healthcare partners.
Over time, you’ll build strong relationships with your regular customers and the local community, as well as those who choose to travel to your store – earning real trust through how you and your team show up every day.

What you’ll be doing

As Store Manager, you’ll report into the Area Manager and bring energy, direction and purpose to your store. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll get stuck in on the shop floor, supporting your team and role‑modeling how great care and strong sales performance go together.

• Get to know your people – what motivates them, and what needs to change
• Coach and support your team—helping them grow in confidence, skills and experience
• Be bold, try new things and use data and insights to look for ways to improve every day
• Create a store environment and experience your team can be proud of and that keep customers coming back

What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)

• Retail management experience in a large, fast‑paced or complex environment
• Ability to drive performance and implement strategy in‑store
• Great customer service skills and a passion for customer care
• A calm, flexible approach with the confidence to adapt at pace
• A collaborative style. Able to build both a strong team culture and profitable external relationships
• Passion for learning and a drive to support others to grow

  It would be great if you also have

  • Confidence using new technology and digital tools
  • Experience in a pharmacy or healthcare environment
  • Experience coaching future leaders and developing talent
