Store Manager – Hemel Hempstead

Permanent | Site Based

Salary £36,400 + Bonuses

Hours: 8:00am – 6:30pm (8-hour shifts within this window)

Weekends: 1 in 3 weekends, including occasional Sundays

Interviews to take place immediately with a view to a start soon thereafter.

We’re currently recruiting for a full-time Store Manager to lead the team at a busy self-storage site in Hemel Hempstead. This is a permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary of £36,400 per annum, plus performance-related bonuses.

As Store Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the store, driving sales, managing a small team, and ensuring excellent customer service at all times. You’ll play a key role in delivering business performance and maintaining high standards across operations, health and safety, and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Managing store operations to meet and exceed financial targets
  2. Leading and developing the store team
  3. Driving occupancy and revenue through local marketing and sales initiatives
  4. Delivering excellent service to new and existing customers
  5. Overseeing health and safety, maintenance, and housekeeping standards
  6. Monitoring performance, coaching team members, and completing appraisals
  7. Ensuring all financial and operational procedures are followed accurately
About you:

We’re looking for someone with strong leadership and commercial awareness, ideally with previous experience in a customer-facing, sales or retail management role. You’ll need to be confident, organised, and proactive, with the ability to motivate others and manage performance effectively.
