Store Manager

Location: Surbiton, London

Salary: c£25,000 per annum

Our client, a well-established and growing charity retailer, has an exciting opportunity for a Store Manager to oversee their store in Surbiton. This location offers huge potential for growth in a beautiful setting.

The primary responsibility of the Shop Manager is to maximize income generation and ensure all targets are met and exceeded.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Area Manager to understand stock requirements and oversee the store's maintenance and health & safety.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the store in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Achieve annual store financial and contribution targets.
  • Meet store KPIs.
  • Lead and develop your team.
  • Recruit and select new team members.
  • Implement visual merchandising strategies to maximize opportunities.
  • Drive new business into the store.
  • Liaise with the local community.
  • Recruit volunteers for the store.
Experience Required:
  • Previous Store Manager or Assistant Manager experience within charity or retail sectors.
  • Excellent communication, questioning, and listening skills to engage customers.
  • Knowledge of KPIs and a drive to meet targets.
  • Experience working towards targets in a customer-focused environment.
  • Energy, motivation, and a positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to cover store opening hours and weekends.
  • Proven success in delivering high-growth, profitable operations.
  • Experience managing volunteers, including recruitment and development, along with excellent customer service and supporter relationship skills.
  • Understanding of charity retail is advantageous, along with a passion for the charity sector.
  • Availability to work weekends.
