Job summary

Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in York to help drive the store’s commercial success.

You will work closely with the Store Manager to lead the team, deliver strong results, and ensure smooth operations, stepping up to take full responsibility when required. You’ll support sales targets, develop the team, manage stock and admin, and uphold Levi’s brand standards with exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Track record of delivering KPIs and sales targets.
• Experience managing store operations, stock, payroll, rotas, and admin.
• Strong product knowledge and brand representation.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Store Manager in delivering sales, KPIs, and profit opportunities.
• Driving daily and weekly performance through clear targets, floor leadership, and commercial focus.
• Monitoring KPIs and team performance, running reports, and supporting action plans to improve results.
• Taking ownership of store operations including stock management, payroll, rotas, and administrative tasks.
• Leading, coaching, and developing the team through training, feedback, and strong product knowledge.
• Acting as a role model on the shop floor by delivering exceptional customer service and living our brand values.
• Ensuring high standards of visual merchandising, brand presentation, and store standards at all times.
• Taking full responsibility for the store in the Store Manager’s absence.
