What is a Store Driver?

Entry-level store position responsible for supporting delivery of parts to commercial customers. The role includes delivering parts, assisting with tasks and inventory processes in the store. This position can be part-time or full-time and requires fleet safety certification.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Safely deliver parts to customers
2. Pick and stage parts for customer orders
3. Pick up returns and cores
4. Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers
5. Collect credit payments daily

Secondary Responsibilities

1. Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot)
2. Stocking including truck and back stock

Success Factors

• Basic driving and navigation skills
• Proficiency with delivery board systems
• Friendly communication skills
• Ability to locate and stock parts
• Knowledge of safety procedures
• Operating inventory systems and store equipment

Essential Job Skills

• Effective communication and relationship-building with customers and team

Prior Experience

Automotive parts experience is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid driver’s license and fleet safety certification required.

Physical Demands

Must be able to walk, stand, talk, hear, handle objects, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, and depth perception.

Work Environment

Primarily indoor work with occasional outdoor tasks in various weather conditions. Exposure to moving parts, chemicals, electrical hazards, and noise is possible.
