Job summary

Staffline is seeking a Store Detective to safeguard Tesco sites across Weston Favell and surrounding areas. The role offers £17.00 per hour with varied hours and shifts, and involves travel between local sites.

You will hold an SIA Door Supervisor or Close Protection Licence and bring 3 years of retail security experience with a strong grasp of loss prevention. Training and progression opportunities are provided by a global security leader.

Responsibilities

• Provide covert security and contribute to safety of premises and staff.
• Be invisible and blend in as part of security approach.
• Travel between Tesco sites within the local area.
• Detain shoplifters safely and de-escalate volatile situations.
• Observe and report incidents using the correct systems.
• Maintain security base in a clean and tidy condition.
• Follow Fire and Safety evacuation procedures.

Previous Store Detective experience / 3 years Retail Security Experience, plus a strong understanding of retail loss prevention required.

This is a mobile role. Candidates must be willing and able to travel between various sites within the local area.

Your Time at Work

• To provide covert security, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff. Having the ability to be 'invisible' and blend in is crucial.
• You must have a clear understanding of ASCONE to ensure any and all stop are legal and safe.
• You must have a high attention to detail to spot \"\"tells\"\" and suspicious behavior that others might miss.
• Multi-Site Travel: This is a mobile role. Candidates must be willing and able to travel between various Tesco sites within the local area.
• Apprehension & Conflict Management: Ability to safely detain shoplifters and de-escalate volatile situations.
• To carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors
• To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
• To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified
• To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• To assist, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• To ensure that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn and SIA licence is clearly displayed
