IKEA Oxford Street are looking to welcome a Store Assistant to the store team!

Do you perform well in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? Join our team at the newly opened Oxford Street store, where you'll play a key role in creating a memorable shopping experience for our customers. This role is all about helping our customers access our products. A main responsibility of this role is assembling IKEA furniture to support with promotional launches and selling solutions. WHAT WE OFFER

• The Start Date of employment will be: 4th & 5th October 2025
• Competitive hourly rate of £13.85 per hour.
• Working hours will be 39 hours per week over 5 days, including day shift, evenings and alternate weekends.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• Retail sales experience with a solid background in retail foundations, sales and customer service is preferred, but not essential.
• A positive approach, enjoy handling various tasks, and are motivated to be part of the team and can work without supervision.
• A customer first mindset and enjoy the versatility of working in a different area each day, making the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do.
• Computer literacy skills and are able to work with technology.
• You can prioritise and organise your own work to make efficient use of the time available, with great attention to detail.


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• You provide an inspirational shopping experience for our customers working across various departments throughout the day, supporting customers to find the best solutions for their life at home.
• You are interested in the range, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design, keen to share this with our customers.
• You support enhancing sales by ensuring your areas of responsibility are clean, fully stocked, all products priced, well presented and easy to shop. Some products may involve heavy lifting.
