Job summary

Anglian Water is seeking a Storage Point Technician to inspect, operate and optimise water storage assets across the region. You’ll use surveys and ROVs to support safe, high-quality drinking water delivery and partner with engineers and contractors to deliver continuous improvements.

The role requires NVQ Level 2, strong IT and communication skills, and a proactive, team‑oriented approach. Flexibility for occasional out‑of‑hours work is expected.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 is a minimum requirement.
• Good knowledge of operational activities and maintenance.
• Understanding of water treatment and processes.
• Strong IT skills and using digital systems and inspection tech.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Proactive, self-motivated with problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine external inspections of reservoirs, water towers and storage assets.
• Carry out ROV internal inspections and collect data.
• Use surveying equipment to assess asset condition.
• Support water quality investigations with inspection data.
• Identify defects, raise maintenance needs and escalate issues.
• Assist with storage outages and optimisation activities while minimising customer impact.
• Ensure inspection records and risk assessments are maintained.
• Support safety audits and contractor management.
• Contribute to optimisation projects to improve performance.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver the storage point programme.
