Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Stoma Clinical Nurse Specialist to lead, develop and deliver high-quality stoma care across hospital and community settings.

You will advance clinical governance, design education programmes, and support patients through pre- and post-operative care, including home visits. Travel is required and leadership development is a core focus.

Qualifications

• Experience in stoma care and leadership development desirable.
• Ability to lead quality improvement projects within the MDT framework.
• Strong communication and clinical governance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre- and post-operative stoma care for patients, including home visits and ward clinics.
• Lead on education and training programs for nursing staff across community and acute settings.
• Work within Clinical Governance framework to improve service quality and clinical outcomes.
• Coordinate with medical staff, pharmacists and other agencies to ensure holistic care.
