Job Role: Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant

The Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will be expected to help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.

The Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers must have at least 6 months of experience in care and demonstrate compassion.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers will help with the day-to-day care of patients, either in homes, hospitals, or in patients' own homes.

They are vital members of teams in hospitals, care homes, and clinics.

Previous experience and/or qualifications in care are essential.

As a Healthcare Assistant and Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of nursing staff and alongside other healthcare assistants.

Your duties may include:

  • Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
  • Serving food or assisting with eating
  • Making and changing beds
  • Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
  • Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
  • Assisting patients with mobility
  • Helping with toileting and collecting bedpans
  • Maintaining cleanliness and supplies

Your daily tasks may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients within hospitals. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.

We also supply staff to NHS and private sectors, including nurses, general nurses, RGN, NMC, Band 5 and 6 nurses, HCAs, community nurses, and specialists in areas like A&E, Endoscopy, and Theatre.
