Job summary

Gi Group is seeking a Stocks and Logistics Operative for a busy fresh and frozen fish factory in Grimsby. The role involves controlling stock, handling deliveries and dispatches, and maintaining strict food safety and cold‑chain standards.

The position is full-time, day shift, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of £12.85 per hour. Responsibilities include stock recording, FIFO/FEFO rotation, receiving deliveries, preparing orders and loading vehicles.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, stock control or logistics.
• Good numeracy and attention to detail.
• Able to work in cold conditions for sustained periods.
• Basic IT skills with handheld scanners or stock systems.

Responsibilities

• Count and record stock of raw fish, packaging and finished goods.
• Follow stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO) and traceability.
• Receive deliveries, check quantities, quality and temperatures.
• Book goods in and move products to chill/freezer locations.
• Pick, pack, label and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
• Load vehicles and complete paperwork.
• Keep warehouse areas clean, organized and safe.
• Work in chilled and frozen environments with PPE.
