Royal Museums Greenwich is a collection of diverse historical sites. The sites are the National Maritime Museum, Cutty Sark, the Royal Observatory, and the Queen’s House. Each of these sites has a unique identity and a common purpose to serve our communities, through sharing our collections and expertise. We are a place to explore the sea, space, art and history, and our strategy puts people at the core of its success.

The Role

Working within the Commerce and Visitor Experience team and reporting to the Retail Merchandiser, the Stockroom Coordinator is vital to ensuring the highest standards of stockroom organisation and layouts across multiple spaces, and guaranteeing that stock is delivered to all RMG locations in an efficient way that maximises sales and stock control. The postholder is the first point of contact for delivery and supplier issues and is responsible for processing all invoices for NMME Ltd & Cutty Sark, to agreed payment schedules.

Key elements of the role involve picking, processing and co-ordinating transfers of stock and deliveries across all locations according to the agreed transfer schedule, building good working relations with the Porter Messenger and Front of House teams, and ensuring stock is correctly priced, barcoded and stored in an accessible and organised layout whilst maintaining Health & Safety standards.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate prior experience of working in a warehouse/stock-based environment and with stock control processes, strong numeracy skills and experience of using an EPOS system. Excellent communication and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise a variable and physically demanding workload, are essential to this role alongside an agile approach to working to support the commercial needs of the business.

This is a full-time, permanent contract in Band 8 - Assistants. Core hours of work will be 36 per week, 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with an additional hour to be worked as agreed upon with management.
