The Company

We are excited to be supporting our Birmingham client, a leading distributor of DIY hardware/ Ironmongery products, in recruiting for s Stock Manager. With a focus on delivering quality products on next day delivery, their enviable track record is based on honesty and reliability, focussing on the customers expectations.

The Role

The key objective is to assist the Operations Manager in ensuring the stock accuracy by unit count and location, assuming responsibility for the entire stock control management within the business whilst managing a close team of colleagues/workers.

You will be required to oversee inbound processes to ensure that only fit for sale products are stocked in the warehouse. Having worked in a similar role, y ou will be capable of developing efficient processes across the Warehouse operations, including reorganising the warehouse and addressing cost savings and waste. Your focus will be on developing an exceptional customer experience with timely dispatch of all customer orders and continuous improvement to increase overall effectiveness within the department by nearing 100% stock accuracy. Your role shall also require regular communication and liaison with various departments to ensure smooth functioning of the operations.

In addition, you will oversee the Returns location and overall process, maintaining an open channel of communication with the sales team, ensuring a very customer focused streamlined process. Experienced in all facets of a stock control role, you will be capable of assisting with any stock queries presented by the wider warehouse team and will be able to address issues and suggest improvements.

The Person

Having previous experience in stock control role in a managerial capacity, you will have a continuous improvement mindset. You will have t rained and developed teams before and will be used to generating reports and KPI’s.

A natural problem solver, you will be able to work under pressure and will have great organisational skills, along with the ability to prioritise.

Experience with Kerridge K8 system is advantageous.
