Scan4Safety Stock Management Assistant

Location: Cobbett House - Oxford Road Campus, Manchester M23 9LT

Employer: Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00 (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: Band 3 - £13.13/hr plus accrued holiday pay

Are you experienced with stock management in a warehouse or retail setting? Would you like to be part of a team that works well together, always there to help each other? We have an ongoing placement available for a Scan4Safety Stock Management Assistant at Cobbett House (Opposite MRI).

You will be managing the day-to-day inventory of specific areas within the Trust. Your responsibilities include maintaining a timely and effective stock top-up system, working collaboratively with various departments, and managing stakeholder expectations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain service standards across departments and wards, managing daily ordering activities following protocols.
  • Ensure customer requirements are met cost-effectively, maintaining supply continuity.
  • Regularly review stock levels and product ranges with customers, updating as needed.
  • Receive, check, and store deliveries, ensuring proper rotation and tidiness.
  • Keep all related paperwork updated in line with changes.
  • Adhere to departmental and trust procedures, ensuring work meets end-user needs.
  • Recommend product range rationalizations to ward leads.
  • Undertake any other duties as required by the S4S Programme.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience in Customer Service and/or Retail is advantageous; stock or inventory management experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Physically able to work long hours on your feet.
  • English and Maths qualifications (GCSE or above) are desirable.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work at pace.
