Job summary

iconsys, based in the UK, is seeking a Purchasing & Stores Controller to manage stock, store operations and logistics for internal engineering and workshop teams. You will raise and expedite orders, handle supplier communications, and ensure data integrity across stock systems.

The role involves depot and workshop activities, including forklift operation, inbound/outbound transport, and liaising with engineering to maintain service levels.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at C or above.
• Computer literate – Word, Email
• Intermediate Excel
• Experience in stores/warehouse role
• Experience in purchasing role
• Driving license
• Forklift truck experience

Responsibilities

• Purchasing duties, including raising orders, expediting orders, supplier communications.
• Operational management of Stores, including staffing Stores Counter, receiving, booking-in and locating deliveries.
• Preparing returns and parcels for dispatch.
• Pick components and issue, ensuring workshop shortages and stock requirements are actioned.
• Responsible for non-conforming product and return of incorrectly delivered items.
