Job description

Stock & Inventory Supervisor
£34,068 + Fantastic Benefits!
Monday to Friday - 08:30am - 17:00pm

Are you a naturally curious, detail-obsessed, tech-savvy problem-solver who loves getting to the bottom of things? Pertemps is looking for an Inventory Supervisor who is ready to roll up their sleeves, dig into data, and track down missing stock like a logistics detective.

In this role, you'll manage and motivate a team of 6, investigating warehouse systems, reports, and physical inventory to uncover discrepancies and ensure stock accuracy. If you enjoy patterns, processes, and solving puzzles—and you're confident navigating SAP or similar warehouse management systems—this could be your perfect match!

Your duties will include:

  1. Investigating stock variances and missing inventory across multiple systems
  2. Identifying process gaps and spotting where stock goes missing
  3. Working closely with warehouse teams to match data with real-world movements
  4. Reconciling reports from WMS and client-side systems
  5. Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to be the "go-to" for solutions
  6. Using your tech skills to drill into data, run reports, and spot inconsistencies
  7. Helping implement smarter processes to reduce future errors

What they are looking for:

  1. Experience in people management
  2. Sharp attention to detail and relentless curiosity
  3. Experience in stock control, reconciliation, or warehousing is a plus
  4. Tech-minded—confident with Excel, WMS platforms, or similar systems
  5. A proactive thinker who doesn't wait to be told what to fix
  6. Great communication skills to work effectively with operations and data teams

This is a fantastic business with a great reputation! You must be able to drive between Birmingham and the East Midlands for this role.
