Impact Recruitment are currently working with a forward-thinking manufacturing business who are looking to recruit a Stock Controller Operative to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a varied and hands-on role ideal for a Stock Controller Operative with a background in production or manufacturing. The successful Stock Controller Operative will be confident managing stock, supporting dispatch, and stepping in to help with factory operations when needed. You'll be working closely with the Factory Manager and wider team to ensure materials flow efficiently and the warehouse remains organised and well-maintained.

Location: Corby
Hours: 40hrs (Monday to Friday)
Pay: £28,412

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and labelling incoming deliveries, including identification against technical drawings
  • Assisting the Factory Manager with planning and material allocation
  • Updating stock records in real time across goods in, usage, and returns
  • Participating in stocktakes and maintaining consumables
  • Picking and packing items for dispatch; preparing labels and documentation
  • Wrapping and preparing pallets to required standards
  • Maintaining warehouse cleanliness, waste control, and basic equipment checks
  • Supporting factory operations where required, including packing, lifting, and machinery assistance

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Background in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Counterbalance forklift licence (essential)
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Need to be able to read Technical Drawings
  • Strong initiative and attention to detail
  • Confident working independently and taking ownership of tasks
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
  • Basic computer skills for updating logs and spreadsheets
  • Reliable and process-driven with good communication skills
  • Experience with CNC, injection moulding, or workshop machinery
  • Familiarity with hand tools or equipment such as saws or routers
