Job summary

OA is seeking a Stock Controller in Stevenage to manage stock levels, counts and packing duties. The role is on-site with standard hours 8:30am-5pm and a salary of £29,000-£30,000 depending on experience.

You will handle goods in/despatch, ensure accurate stock logging, packaging standards, and collaborate across teams. A physically active role requiring good IT skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience in stock control in a warehouse environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable with manual handling and physical duties.
• Good IT literacy; familiar with CRM, inventory systems and MS Office.
• Strong communication and a customer-facing mindset.
• Positive, adaptable attitude and willingness to support multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Stock count and inventory management to optimise stock levels.
• Picking and packing orders for dispatch.
• Support goods in/despatch, check deliveries and log stock.
• Monitor stock levels and trigger replenishment as needed.
• Maintain clean, compliant, and organised work areas.
• Prepare items for shipment and ensure correct packaging standards.
• Assemble inventory required for loan requests and related tasks.
• Assist with reprocessing of returned equipment.

Duties of a Stock Controller

• Stock count/Inventory management
• Picking and packing
• Support with goods in/despatch including checking deliveries/logging stock
• Monitor stock lelvels
• Keeping areas clean, compliant and organised
• Preparing items for shipment and ensuring correct packagin standard are followed
• Help assemble all inventory required for each loan request/
• Support the reprocessing cycle of returned equipment
