Job description

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager you would develop and implement methods to ensure the integrity and accuracy of our stock management system, enabling the business to make effective decisions in terms of purchasing, material control, manufacturing and sales.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing and developing control measures to ensure transaction accuracy.
  • Maintain and develop a schedule of regular stock checks for third party suppliers of finished goods onsite and offsite warehouses.
  • Generate monthly stock accuracy, KPI's and reports.
  • Participate in ongoing reviews of slow moving and obsolete stock which will involve reporting, investigating and implementing process improvements.
  • The post holder will also be trained in material scheduling in order to provide cover.

Our ideal candidate will be dynamic and driven to complete tasks with a sound background in stock control within a manufacturing environment with commercial and financial awareness. The candidate must have a high level of literacy and numeracy, be computer literate with MS office (Excel at advanced level) and JDE (or similar). A strong communicator and relationship builder with high levels of statistical and analytical skills.

Hours of work: Flexible between 8.00 am and 4.00 pm or 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday. 40 hours per week, office based.

We anticipate this role being required for a period of 6-months, but there is potential for the role to become permanent.
