Overview
CMS Stock Controller – Based in Leicester and Derby. Permanent role. Part-time hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (20 hours across these 4 days). The role is based across two hospital sites and involves the day-to-day management of stock and consumables on site.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of consumables on site
- Source non-stock products as required by the location
- Add or amend supplier account details
- Add or amend product details on the computer system
- Set up inventory parameters to enable requisitions or direct ordering
- Manage automatic and manual orders including non-stock
- Manage requisitions including non-stock, raise and enter purchase orders
- Stock transfers (e.g., adhoc issues on a sale or return basis)
- Expedite orders with suppliers
- Accept delivery, decant and manage reversals including management of over/under deliveries and damages
- Ensure all stock is appropriately located for clinical staff use
- Manage receipt of products for trials, loan equipment, etc., after Consumables Group approval
- Manage quarantine of product, product recalls, shelf life expiry, loss management and physical returns
- Undertake cyclical and annual stock takes/reconciliation
- Management of price queries with suppliers
- Assist with new client implementation activities as required
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience with stock control and consumables warehousing and inventory management
- Ideally NHS experience
- This role could suit a registered nurse or clinical professional seeking a change of career
- Excellent communication skills; able to liaise with doctors and work with initiative
- Driving licence and car required due to travel to other locations; parking/h reimbursement may apply
