Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is recruiting a Stock Controller to join a luxury retail environment at Cheshire Oaks. This back-of-house role requires organisation, attention to detail and the ability to work independently, with responsibilities including stock deliveries, stockroom maintenance and regular stock counts.

The position is initially for 2 weeks with the potential to extend, with shifts between 9:00am and 9:15pm; the role offers exposure to prestigious retail operations and a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Stock control or back-of-house experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking, and processing deliveries.
• Organising and maintaining the stockroom to luxury retail standards.
• Accurately recording stock movements and inventory updates.
• Conducting regular stock counts and assisting with stock audits.
• Preparing stock for the shop floor and supporting replenishment activities.
• Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies.
• Ensuring all stock is stored safely and efficiently.
• Working independently to manage daily stockroom operations.
• Supporting the wider store team during busy trading periods when required.

Salary: £14.84 per hour

Start Date: Monday 5th October

Contract: Initially 2 weeks with the potential for extension

Requirements

• Previous stock control, stockroom, warehouse, or retail back-of-house experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage workload.
• Comfortable with manual handling and being on your feet throughout the shift.
• Reliable, punctual, and proactive approach to work.
• Experience using stock management systems is advantageous but not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a prestigious luxury retail environment, with the potential for the assignment to be extended beyond the initial contract period.
