Stock Controller | Bolton | Up to £31,000 + Benefits

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (42.5 hours/week, 30 min unpaid lunch)

I have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Stock Controller to join a forward-thinking company who prides itself on innovation, collaboration, and delivering exceptional engineering solutions due to ongoing growth.

Seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Stock Controller to manage procurement and inventory operations. This hands-on role is essential to the efficiency of our supply chain and production teams. You'll work closely with production staff, suppliers, and engineering teams to ensure materials are available, on time and up to spec.

This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, embraces new technology, and is passionate about stock management.

Stock Controller Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with internal departments regarding quoted items and procurement needs
  • Place purchase orders and ensure on-time in-full (OTIF) deliveries from suppliers
  • Conduct goods-in inspections to verify accuracy and quality of deliveries
  • Perform regular stock checks and maintain inventory accuracy
  • Generate and investigate stock loss reports; implement corrective actions
  • Manage returns or replacements for faulty items
  • Maintain inventory records using Wasp Inventory Stock Control Software
  • Keep procurement and supplier documentation organised and up to date
  • Collaborate with engineering and production to ensure timely material availability
  • Assist with stock store and workshop housekeeping

Stock Controller Skills
