Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd in Arbroath is seeking a reliable Stock Control Operative to ensure incoming materials are received, stored and issued to production while maintaining quality and traceability standards.

This on-site, full-time role involves working in chilled environments, 40 hours per week, with early mornings (04:30–13:00) Mon–Fri and a Sunday rotation every four weeks. Training is provided, and you will collaborate across departments to minimise waste and support production.

Qualifications

• GMP and food hygiene knowledge
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Experience in health & safety practices

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and book in raw materials and ingredients using stock control systems
• Carry out quality and temperature checks on deliveries and report non-conforming goods
• Manage storage of materials in chilled areas with accurate labelling and temperature control
• Issue materials to production in a timely and controlled manner; support stock rotation
• Assist with stock decanting and defrosting; prepare ingredients for production
• Monitor stock levels and conduct regular stock counts (daily, weekly, monthly)
• Keep storage areas clean, organized and compliant with hygiene standards
• Complete concession logs and disposal forms accurately
• Communicate with other departments (e.g., Technical or Planning)
• Support training of new or temporary team members
• Participate in internal and customer audits as required
• Carry out additional duties as directed by line manager; follow health, safety and food hygiene procedures
• This role involves working in chilled environments and requires PPE and training
