Job description

Job Title: Asset / Stock Condition Surveyor

TristoneNash is currently assisting an affordable Housing Provider with the appointment of an Asset / Stock Condition Surveyor to join their Property Services team.

Core Duties:
  1. Carry out detailed Stock Condition Surveys and investigations to support effective investment planning and maintenance.
  2. Be responsible for investigations and surveys to determine appropriate remedies for building defects and repair issues.
  3. Develop specifications and programmes of work across all repairs and maintenance areas.
  4. Procure small packages of works.
  5. Manage the effective delivery of contracts and programmes of work as Project Manager or Contract Administrator.
  6. Ensure and advise on compliance with relevant building-related regulations (e.g., Building Regulations, DDA, Party Wall Act, CDM, asbestos, fire regulations).
  7. Perform additional duties as reasonably required, supporting all operational areas within the property services team.
Candidate Requirements:
  1. Monitoring of budgets against programmes and financial KPIs.
  2. Understanding of health and safety regulations and their application.
  3. Experience working with statutory requirements such as Building Regulations, fire regulations, asbestos, legionella, etc.
  4. Experience in budget management within the repairs and maintenance sector.
  5. Sound knowledge of contract management.
  6. Qualifications in a construction or maintenance-related discipline (minimum HNC).
  7. Strong administrative and IT skills.

Experience working for an Affordable Housing Provider is advantageous but not essential.
