I am working with an innovative and growing company operating in the food industry, specialising in the wholesale distribution and the supply of a wide range of food products. They offer a variety of goods, including frozen, chilled, and ambient food products, catering to various sectors, such as retail, food service, and manufacturing.

Role Overview:

My client is looking for a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual to join the team. This role is responsible for managing stock and relationships at all third-party logistics (3PL) sites, ensuring accurate stock holding on all systems.

The successful candidate will handle stock reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and support the management of non-conformance stocks. This is a dynamic role that requires strong analytical skills, relationship management experience, and a proactive approach to stock control.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Build and maintain relationships with key 3PL personnel; conduct site visits to resolve stock management issues.
  2. Oversee timely booking and accurate stock receipt, ensuring availability for customer delivery.
  3. Manage D365 delivery noting and track outstanding inbound deliveries for accurate stock recording.
  4. Ensure correct stock rotation based on Best Before Expiry (BBE) dates.
  5. Track customer returns and manage stock reallocation as needed.
  6. Manage stock conversion adjustments and warehouse stock movements.
  7. Provide stock management reports on values, BBE dates, and stock at risk of expiration.
  8. Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Planning teams to mitigate risks of stock running low.
  9. Proven analytical ability and experience working with data (Excel, stock systems).
  10. Experience in relationship management, including working with external partners, vendors, or customers (e.g., previous customer-facing roles like bar tending or waiting are relevant).
  11. A self-starter with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  12. Experience in performing reconciliations, ideally within a fast-paced or challenging environment.
  13. Logical, methodical, and thorough in approach to work, with the ability to think outside the box.
