Job summary

ESS Employment is seeking a Stock and Logistics Coordinator in Warmley, GB, to manage daily inventory levels, organise warehouse storage, and schedule freight shipments from off-site facilities to ensure goods arrive on time and in full.

This fixed-term contract runs from October to December, with daily hours 8am-5pm (Mon-Thu) and 8am-4:30pm (Fri). Duties include stock control, logistics planning, and coordination with production and transport teams.

Qualifications

• Stock control and cycle counting experience.
• Ability to plan shipping schedules and coordinate with transport.
• Proficient in Excel and Word.

VACANCY – Stock and Logistics Coordinator

ESS Employment a stock and logistics coordinator to manage daily inventory levels, organise warehouse storage, and schedules freight shipments from off‑site storage facilities to ensure goods arrive to our main production site on time and in full.

Duties

• Stock Control: Monitor inventory levels, perform cycle counts, order stock through the X3 system, investigate discrepancies, and log all incoming and outgoing items in the database systems.
• Logistics & Transport: Plan shipping schedules via our own vehicles, which will include our offsite warehouse colleague and utilise their vehicle for return shipments to the production facility.
• Warehouse Operations: Oversee goods-in and goods-out processes, ensure when stock is returned all products are unloaded and stored in the correct warehouse for ongoing production, ensure proper product labelling, and optimise storage space to keep walkways safe and clear.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communication skills are paramount to this role, liaising daily with the production managers, production planner & the logistics team.
• Documentation: Prepare accurate shipping manifests for correct stock to be loaded and returned to the production site and inventory reports for management if required.

Requirements

• Organisation: High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple delivery schedules under pressure.
• Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Clear verbal and written skills to communicate with all levels on management.
• Ability to safely perform manual handling tasks; a full UK driving licence, as travelling to off‑site storage facilities will be undertaken with this role.
• Forklift counterbalance certificate preferred but not essential.
