The Opportunity

Following the merger of Bayram Timber Ltd into BSW Timber Solution, and the acquisition of a third site on Gibson Lane, North Ferriby, we have created a new role for a dynamic Stock and Distribution Manager to lead the operations across all three production sites. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for the seamless coordination of inbound and outbound stock movements, warehousing, stock control, and customer fulfilment.

You’ll bring together warehouse, goods-in, order fulfilment, home delivery and customer service functions under one strategic umbrella - driving efficiency, safety, and service excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead all aspects of stock and distribution across multiple sites, ensuring world-class customer fulfilment.
  • Oversee inbound logistics, warehousing, internal stock movements, and outbound distribution including home delivery operational strategy.
  • Manage load configuration, picking, packing, and despatch operations.
  • Drive performance through SAP and other digital tools, ensuring visibility and control across the supply chain.
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Planning, Commercial, and Customer Service teams.
  • Monitor and report on key logistics KPIs including OTIF, stock availability, vehicle utilisation, and cost performance.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in a senior warehouse or stock management role ideally across multi-site or high-volume operations.
  • SAP expertise is essential. You’ll be confident using ERP/WMS systems to manage stock and logistics.
  • Ideally exposure to port and terminal materials handling and eCommerce fulfilment.
  • A hands-on leader with a commercial mindset and a passion for process improvement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
