Baker Hughes is seeking a Lab Specialist - Stimulation in the Aberdeen area. The role focuses on performing laboratory testing, sample analysis, equipment maintenance, and data interpretation to support stimulation technologies and product development.

You will work with engineers and lab teams to ensure accurate testing and data integrity. The role emphasizes quality, safety, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to coach junior staff and contribute to cross-product learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related scientific discipline.
• Experience in laboratory testing, sample preparation, data analysis, and test equipment operation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently on routine and moderately complex assignments.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Team-oriented with ability to support junior colleagues.
• Commitment to quality, safety, compliance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory testing, sample collection, processing and analysis with adherence to HSE policies and procedures.
• Review SOPs, suggest improvements and ensure safe, accurate testing.
• Record, manage and maintain laboratory data in designated databases with data integrity.
• Inspect, calibrate, troubleshoot and maintain lab equipment; escalate issues as needed.
• Design and execute testing programs and protocols to meet customer requirements.
• Analyze and interpret results, prepare reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technology development, field testing and RCA investigations.
• Coach and support junior staff and contribute to special projects.
