Job summary

STILL Materials Handling Ltd in the UK is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service and repair STILL forklifts and related material handling equipment at customer sites across SR/DH post code areas. You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance and support a busy service network.

The role requires mechanical or electrical engineering aptitude, a full UK driving licence, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in engineering is preferred but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• IT literate and able to use latest technology to keep accurate records and place orders.
• Good communication skills to liaise with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Find, diagnose, and rectify faults on STILL forklifts and other material handling equipment at customer sites.
• Undertake preventative maintenance and carry out routine servicing.
• Support a network of service engineers with timely repairs and on-site visits.
• Take pride in work and maintain high standards of accuracy and documentation.

We are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team in the SR/DH post code areas. We are looking for vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers who have experience working as a forklift technician, plant fitter, plant technician, vehicle technician or a similar type of role. Experience within plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles or industrial cleaners may make this role perfect for you! Working with everything from small pallet trucks, through to IC trucks, VNA trucks and automated trucks, you will be required to find, diagnose, and rectify faults, and undertake preventative maintenance on STILL forklifts and other material handling equipment at our customer sites.

• 39.5 hour working week, generally 0800-1630, Mon-Thursday & 0800-1600 on Fridays

Tasks and Qualifications:

Who are we looking for? To be considered for this role, you will need experience in at least one of the following areas: Mechanical engineering Electrical engineering Hydraulics.

Ideally you will have an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) qualification, although this is not essential. You will need to be IT literate and able to use latest technology to keep accurate records and place orders. You must hold a full UK driving licence.
