We are looking for a Steward (GM) to oversee member activities, physical plant, and financial management at a private club. Candidates should have at least 5 years of private club experience. Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily clubhouse operations, food & beverage service, and events
  • Ensure compliance with club rules, health, and safety standards
  • Manage vendor relationships, purchasing, inventory, and inspections
  • Supervise kitchen/operations staff and event service staff
  • Maintain properties, landscaping, wine storage, and parking lot
  • Ensure safety, security, and regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate event calendar and marketing
  • Assist with budgeting and financial oversight using QuickBooks
  • Monitor revenue and expenses, identify savings and revenue opportunities
  • Collaborate with treasurer and bookkeeper
  • Maintain databases, website, and member communications
  • Enhance member experience and alumni engagement
Qualifications
  • BS in Hospitality preferred
  • Effective communication skills
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Ability to engage with members and team
  • Familiarity with New England culture
