An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Sterile Services Team Leader at RSUH, with coverage also at the County site as required. This is a fully flexible role with shift patterns that may change at short notice.
The post involves working on a rota basis for 22.5 hours per week, supplemented by additional hours as a Band 2 Sterile Services Technician. Shift patterns are mainly days from 6am to 2pm, with on-call and bank holiday duties as needed. Pay includes Band 4 scale plus enhancement after 20:00, according to Agenda for Change.
The environment is practical, busy, and interesting, providing a valuable part of the North Midlands health service. The Sterilisation and Disinfection Unit services include cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and delivering surgical instruments, involving manual handling and equipment operation.
The Team Leader must be a qualified or experienced Technician, capable of supporting a shift, including twilight hours (2pm - 10pm). Responsibilities include assisting the Production Coordinator, monitoring production, maintaining quality standards, and providing first-line management support to staff.
