Are you looking for a new challenge and want to be a part of our amazing team? We are currently recruiting for a Sterile Services Supervisor to support our busy department.
You will be responsible for performing a variety of duties associated with the efficient operation of Sterile Processing in order to ensure high quality product delivery and efficient service to customers.
The post holder will be required to work shifts including days, evenings, and weekends. The post holder will be accountable for assisting, organising, and supervising the production and provision of sterile supplies to wards, departments, and clinics within University Hospitals Bristol and Weston and also to external customers.
The post holder is expected to ensure that the services provided are responsive to service needs. There is an expectation that the post holder will ensure that the workload is managed consistently and that the staff are supervised in all activities undertaken.
The post holder will be expected to be a role model and also to provide supervisory leadership to staff, which includes ensuring that efficient practices, quality policies, and procedures are adhered to. Duties also include making adjustments to staff rotas and duties in relation to departmental workload when necessary.
The post holder will hold supervisory responsibility for designated work areas and will be responsible for ensuring the most efficient use of resources and working practices.
The post holder is expected to undertake training relevant to the job being undertaken and also to ensure that the quality of the service being delivered is to the agreed quality management standards. The post holder is also expected to provide training to staff as a routine aspect of the role.
