Job Summary

We are seeking an Operations Manager - Sterile Processing responsible for overseeing all operations within the sterile processing department. This role involves coordinating staff, training, and acting as a liaison between hospital administration and departments to deliver excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize, direct, and coordinate sterile processing functions
  • Interpret policies, standards, and regulations relevant to personnel, nursing, and medical staff
  • Perform duties of Central Supply technician as needed; manage staff schedules and evaluate performance
  • Maintain departmental policies, procedures, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards
  • Coordinate with operating rooms and nursing units to ensure prompt and efficient service
  • Sterilize instruments and supplies, handle and store items appropriately
  • Ensure cleanliness of work areas
  • Supervise requisitioning, sorting, labeling, and issuing of equipment
  • Coordinate sterilization, assembly, and storage of supplies
  • Ensure staff compliance with sterilization techniques and policies
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate staff performance
  • Schedule and monitor staff work to optimize operations
  • Maintain accurate department records related to sterilization activities
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in Central Sterile or similar operations
  • CRCST certification required
  • Strong work ethic, initiative, and customer service skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills and leadership experience
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
