Job summary

King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist (Band 6) to join its rotatational clinical teams. The role includes on-call residency duties, patient-facing pharmacy services, and involvement in aseptic and ward-based activities.

Successful applicants will be registered with the GPhC, hold an MPharm or equivalent, and participate in a structured post-foundation programme linked with postgraduate pharmacy training. The post is full-time and based in London.

Qualifications

• Qualified pharmacist with GPhC registration.
• Masters degree MPharm or equivalent to enable GPhC registration.
• Will be registered with the GPhC by August 2026.
• Postgraduate Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice (or equivalent) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and check outpatients and inpatients scripts, including clinical trials and chemotherapy.
• Counsel patients on medicines and manage dispensary workflow.
• Participate in ward-based pharmacy services and medicines management.
• Provide an out-of-hours pharmacy service and participate in residency on-call rota.
• Ensure compliance with GMP/GDP, GCP, H&S, COSHH and QA procedures.
