Job description

Experienced Lab Technician needed ASAP in Rhondda Cynon Taf Cardiff starting after Easter.

Do you have experience dealing with solution preparation and chemical handling?

Are you confident in setting up the laboratory prior to lessons up to GSCE level?

Do you work well independently and as part of a team?

If you answered yes to any of the questions above, then this role is for you!

The school is seeking to appoint a strong, experienced Lab Technician to support in a diverse school. The role will become permanent for the right candidate.

The successful Lab Technician will work with Teachers to conduct and support scientific investigations and experiments, planning, setting up and undertaking controlled experiments and trials, and recording and analysing data.

The role will include:

  • Receiving, labelling and analysing samples.
  • Designing and executing laboratory testing according to standard procedures.
  • Conducting experiments under defined conditions to verify/reject various types of hypotheses using refined scientific methods.
