STEM Graduate Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Secondary School | September Start

Location: Clapham, South West London
Contract: Full-time role, Monday to Friday 8:00am-15:30pm
Salary: £500-£600 per week
Start Date: September 2025

Job Summary

Are you a recent or soon-to-be STEM graduate with a real passion for Maths, Science, Engineering, Computer Science or more?

Key Responsibilities

As a STEM Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils across KS3 and KS4, working alongside experienced teachers to build your skills and confidence in a school setting

• Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons in core subjects
• Provide one-to-one and small group academic support
• Develop students' engagement and confidence through interactive and tailored support
• Prepare resources and materials to support learning

Who We’re Looking For

To succeed as a STEM Graduate Teaching Assistant, you should have:

• A degree 2:1 or higher in any related STEM degree

• A proactive attitude combined with strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching

• A genuine interest in working with young people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• An interest in potentially training as a teacher in the future
• Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
