The Role
- Coordinate and control the work of the dependent team based on structural Scope of Work assigned
- Distribute equipment and materials to allow the team to perform the assigned activities
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that operators and all personnel strictly observe applicable safety standards
- Ensure work is carried out in accordance with project quality requirements
- Analyze drawings received from the work supervisor and give instructions to the team to execute the works accordingly
- Coordinate and check the work carried out by the team, reporting any difficulties to the works supervisor
- Organize all means and equipment necessary to perform work, check compliance, report anomalies, and coordinate corrective actions
- Liaise with the works supervisor to optimize equipment and personnel use
- Carry out daily toolbox talks
- Ensure adherence to the planned time frame
- Ensure modifications during execution are marked-up on drawings for As Built documentation
- Provide data on quantities produced and installed for progress reports and quantities accounting
- Provide data on manpower, equipment, tools, and material used
- Implement the permit to work system
- Liaise with other disciplines during operations
- Ensure housekeeping of the work location
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar position
- Experience with welding applications for 3-5 years or more
- Knowledge of Manual SMAW/FCAW welding processes
- Knowledge of cutting and trimming applications (cold and hot cutting)
- Knowledge of oxyacetylene and plasma cutting applications
- Knowledge of milling, turning, and lathe machine applications
- Knowledge of drilling applications
- Experience with isometric drawings, bevel designs, fittings, torquing, steel fabrication and erection, lifting and rigging operations, installation, and assembly
- Experience with materials such as carbon steel flowline, clad, Inconel 625/825, stainless steel 314L/316L, and pipeline scope offshore and onshore
- Proven experience in heavy fabrication yards, refineries, power plants, shipyards, offshore jacket installation, wind farm installation, deck, conductors, piling, boat landing installation
Additional Requirements for Fitter Role
- Experience of 10-15 years in a similar role
- Similar technical knowledge and experience as listed above
