Job summary

Pertemps Dudley Industrial is seeking a Steel Stores Person for our Dudley area facility. The role involves hands-on stores duties in a busy industrial environment, handling steel and materials to support production. You will receive training on company systems and join a stable, long‑term operation.

Key tasks include receiving and storing materials, operating forklift/crane, keeping records, and ensuring safety. 38 hours per week with day shifts and training provided.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift licence and overhead crane licence.
• Experience in steel/manufacturing/industrial stores environment.
• Basic computer skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable and safety‑conscious approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking and storing steel and other materials.
• Loading and unloading materials safely.
• Moving steel around the site using forklift and overhead crane.
• Preparing materials for production.
• Keeping stores and yard organised and tidy.
• Completing basic stock and stores records.
• Using a computer for stock and admin tasks.
• Following company health and safety procedures.
• Supporting the wider production team when required.
