Venatu Recruitment is proud to announce a leading client in the high-end steelwork fabrication industry, now seeking a Contract Manager to join their HQ in Doncaster. The client is a prominent provider of high-quality steelwork fabrication solutions, renowned for projects in the Railway, Highways, and Construction industries, working alongside various Tier 1 Contractors. Due to their continued growth and expansion, they are now looking for a Production Manager to oversee multiple steel installation projects. This role is ideal for someone with experience in the steelwork sector who can confidently apply their skills and knowledge to large-scale projects.

This is a full-time position offering £40k to £45k per year DOE, with only 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing the production team on the day shift and ensuring that work is planned and executed effectively.

Successful applicants must have previous steel fabrication experience.

Job duties include:

• Overseeing the production process from start to finish
• Developing and implementing plans to meet production goals and deadlines
• Managing production supervisors and workers
• Identifying and resolving production-related problems
• Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Monitoring and reviewing employee performance regularly
• Assisting in identifying new competency requirements due to standards or legislation changes

The ideal candidates will have:

• Previous production management experience
• Experience at contract and technical management levels
• Knowledge of ISO management systems and auditing procedures
• Knowledge of rail environments and requirements (desirable but not essential)
