Qualifications

Steel Plater / Structural Welder - Permanent Role

Location: Loughborough

Salary: £32,700 - £34,500 per year (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:30 (38 hours per week)

Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Role
  • Fabricate and prepare steel plate components from technical drawings
  • Carry out high-quality MIG welding on structural steel
  • Assemble and fit components using jigs and drawings
  • Operate fabrication tools such as grinders, drills, shears and presses
  • Check welds and finished work to meet quality standards
  • Maintain a safe and organised work area at all times
What You'll Need
  • Previous experience as a Plater, Fabricator, or Structural Welder
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and weld symbols confidently
  • Skilled in MIG welding
  • Experience with Overhead, Vertical Up and Downhand welding
  • A strong work ethic and team-focused attitude
