Job summary

ITS Building People is seeking experienced Steel Fixers for a regional developer on commercial projects in Brighton, East Sussex. The role is temporary with immediate start, Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 16:30, with potential overtime.

Transport is preferred; CSCS card and own tools are required, plus relevant 3 years' experience in steel fixing. Read drawings, cut, bend, and install reinforcement in foundations, beams, columns and slabs.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS card is required.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret plans.
• Willingness and ability to perform physical manual labour.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings & plans to determine the correct placement of steel reinforcement.
• Cut, bend, and shape steel bars & mesh to the required sizes & specifications.
• Position & secure steel reinforcement bars using tying wire & hand tools.
• Install steel reinforcement in concrete structures, including foundations, beams, columns, & slabs.
• Follow site health and safety regulations.
