Steam Trap Survey Engineer

An established manufacturer of valves and steam system solutions is seeking a Field-Based Steam Trap Survey Engineer.

The successful candidate will carry out on-site inspections of steam traps across industrial facilities, assess performance using ultrasonic equipment, and provide recommendations to improve system efficiency and reduce steam losses.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct performance testing of steam traps using ultrasonic tools

* Record and analyse system data (trap type, size, condition, performance, etc.)

* Identify installation issues or inefficiencies in steam systems

* Recommend maintenance actions and energy-saving improvements

* Liaise with clients and provide clear technical advice

Requirements:

* Experience with steam systems or industrial maintenance

* Strong understanding of steam trap function and diagnostics

* Confident working independently and communicating with clients

* Full UK driving licence essential
