About The Role:

We’re seeking an experienced Steam Field Service Engineer to join our team at the Lydney depot in Gloucestershire. This role offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your knowledge of steam and hot water boilers and grow within a supportive, forward-thinking team.

Responsibilities:

• Service and maintain our fleet of hot water and steam boilers to ensure safety and functionality.
• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and remedial works.
• Prepare equipment for inspections and general maintenance.
• Support on-site installations and breakdowns with field engineers.
• Load/unload goods safely and operate a forklift as needed.
• Prepare materials for hire orders and manage deliveries.
• Maintain high standards in equipment identification and quality control.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of steam boiler design, construction, operation, and safety standards.
• Valid certification such as BOAS or City & Guilds in Steam Boiler Operation Fundamentals.
• Understanding of boiler types, fittings, and combustion.
• Ability to analyze and diagnose heating and hot water systems.
• Manual dexterity and practical skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
