Statutory Reporting & Tax Assistant Accountant - Bracknell ( 3 days on site ) £30,000 to £35,000

Key Responsibilities:
- Producing primary statements and disclosure notes for the annual consolidated report and accounts.
- Owning the production of the annual subsidiary accounts.
- Supporting the interim and year end external reporting process and audit.
- Assisting with preparing technical accounting papers for review by Statutory Reporting & Tax Manager
- Preparing analysis on exceptional costs for reporting to PE and for Statutory purposes.
- Preparation of monthly consolidation journals for consolidated balance sheet & cash flow reporting.
- Calculate group statutory recharges
- Assist with dormant entity liquidation and corporate simplification program.
- Review completion accounts for acquisition entities and ensure accurate disclosures in associated financial statements as well as appropriate tax provisions.
- Prepare quarterly group VAT returns and manage all HMRC matters with respect to the Group VAT group and any changes to the group as required.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all tax related accounts across all group entities.
- Manage all correspondence with HMRC with respect to VAT, Corporation Tax and any other matter.
- Support with the preparation of year end tax disclosure notes and tax packs.
- Support with intercompany recharges and transfer pricing
- Manage intercompany loan and interest accruals and overview intercompany netting.
- CT61 preparation and submission.
What are we looking for:
- AAT qualified / ACCA studier, with 1-2 years' experience ideally as an external auditor or tax advisor with one of the Big 10 accountancy firms or from a group reporting function.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UKGAAP
- Experience of preparing or auditing UKGAAP financial statements
- Experience in applying technical accounting standards in a group consolidation context, also in subsidiary financial statements
- Experience working in tax department of accountancy firm, with detailed knowledge of corporation tax and VAT.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills - Be a self-motivator and show an ability to 'get the job done' without close supervision
