Job summary

ITV in Manchester is seeking a Statutory Financial Accountant for a 5-month fixed-term contract. The role focuses on maintaining and supporting the statutory reporting process across multiple locations with hybrid working arrangements.

The successful candidate will prepare FRS 101/102 accounts, analyse balance sheets, and support the annual report and accounts, working with external auditors and various stakeholders. ACA/ACCA qualified applicants are preferred.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified accountant.
• Experience preparing financial statements under IFRS and UK Accounting Standards including FRS 101.
• Experience in a large matrix commercial organisation.
• Ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare FRS 101/102 statutory accounts and supporting working papers.
• Perform analytical reviews of statutory accounts; including detailed balance sheet analysis.
• Work with finance colleagues, Group Secretariat and business to complete annual report and accounts to a high standard.
• Build relationships with acquired entities and assist with statutory reporting.
• Assist in preparing the financial statement template for use across the UK.
• Assist with central documents that support statutory accounts.
• Maintain relationships with external auditors to ensure audits are efficient and effective.
• Provide technical advice to other teams as necessary.
• Assist with other ad hoc projects.
