Job summary

ITV Manchester is seeking a Statutory Financial Accountant for a 5-month Fixed-Term Contract. You will maintain and support the statutory reporting process across multiple locations, working with stakeholders and ensuring high-quality accounts.

Key tasks include preparing FRS 101/102 accounts, balance sheet analysis, and liaising with external auditors. The role requires ACA/ACCA or equivalent and IFRS/UK GAAP expertise, with a hybrid work setup in Manchester.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
• Experience with IFRS and UK GAAP including FRS 101.
• Experience in a large matrix commercial organisation.
• Ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare FRS 101/102 statutory accounts and supporting working papers.
• Perform analytical reviews of statutory accounts including balance sheet analysis.
• Collaborate with finance colleagues, Group Secretariat and business to complete annual report and accounts to a high standard.
• Build good relationships with acquired entities and assist them through the statutory reporting process.
• Assist in preparing the financial statement template for use across the UK.
• Assist with preparation of central documents supporting the statutory accounts.
• Maintain a good working relationship with external auditors to ensure audits are efficient.
• iXBRL tagging.
• Provide technical advice to other teams as necessary.
• Assist with other ad hoc projects throughout the year.

The role..

Our Finance roles touch every element of our business and that’s why we’re excited to announce that we are looking for a Statutory Financial Accountant to join us on a 5-month Fixed-Term Contract. This role is responsible for maintaining and supporting an effective and efficient Statutory Reporting process. You will be working with a number of stakeholders at various levels across a number of locations in our business.

Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Prepare FRS 101/102 statutory accounts and supporting working papers.
• Perform analytical reviews of statutory accounts; including detailed balance sheet analysis.
• Work closely with other finance colleagues, Group Secretariat and the business to complete the annual report and accounts to a high standard in line with best practice.
• Build good relationships with our acquired entities and assist them throughout the statutory reporting process.
• Assist in the preparation of the financial statement template for use across the UK.
• Assist with the preparation of central documents that support the statutory accounts.
• Maintain a good working relationship with the external auditors to ensure audits are conducted efficiently and effectively.
• iXBRL Tagging.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

• ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified accountant.
• Preparation of financial statements under IFRS and UK Accounting Standards including FRS 101.
• Experience working within a large matrix commercial organisation.
• Ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
